Senior Project Reflection

(1) Positive Statement

What are you most proud of in your Block Presentation and/or your senior project? Why?
The thing I am most proud of with my Block Presentation is that  I made time and did not worry about it for a minute. People that have done their presentation have been freaking out and stressing too much, it feels good knowing I did not go through that.

(2) Questions to Consider

a.     What assessment would you give yourself on your Block Presentation (self-assessment)?
//AE//       P          AP       CR       NC

b.     What assessment would you give yourself on your overall senior project (self-assessment)?

//AE//       P          AP       CR       NC

(3) What worked for you in your senior project?
What worked for me within my senior project was the fact I did go through with the explorers and it has opened many doors for me in the future.

(4) (What didn't work) If you had a time machine, what would have you done differently to improve your senior project if you could go back in time?

I would have kept my nose out of things and my mouth shut while doing my independent component 2 and completed it.

(5) Finding Value

How has the senior project been helpful to you in your future endeavors?   Be specific and use examples.

The senior project has been helpful for my future endeavors because it opened many doors  for the department. I am now a good friend with a battalion chief and that is very good since now he can mention my name within the department.

Advisory Meeting #2

EQ

Answer #2 (Write in a complete sentence like a thesis statement)*
Even though it is hard to minimize civilian deaths in a densely populated area, it can be easier if you are always fire ready.

3 details to support the answer (a detail is a fact and an example)
  • Firemen keep there turnouts inside out and ready to be lifted up, when they get a cal it is a lot faster to just lift them on instead of taking their time to put them on like regular pants
  • Firemen know all the exits to anywhere they are at in case some emergency happens and they need to jump out, for example if there is an explosion they need to know where to jump out of.
  • Firemen are very light sleepers, for example if there is a call and all the firemen are asleep that person is gonna die.

The research source (s) to support your details and answer
Firehouse.com

Concluding Sentence
Saving lives in a densely populated area can be made easier as a fireman if you are always fire ready.

Lesson 2 reflection

1. I'm very proud of myself for actually making time and now worrying too much about the whole project. Time management was a great success in this presentation. I usually procrastinate and stress out the night before, but not this time.

2. AE, all jokes aside, I felt I did really well.
I met all the requirments on the contract and added a little more to give it pa-zaz

3. Time worked really well for me, also knowing my stuff.

4. I wouldn't really change anything, I felt everything was nice, flowed nice, and felt great.

5. Staying hungry in a sense of wanting to be perfect.
